Wintery Day
filters used from Instagram
The day after Christmas brought snow, lots of snow, to our neck of the woods!! I love a good snowstorm when I know that all of my loved ones are safe and that I have everything that I need to make it through a few days!! The wind howled all through the night and I have to admit to being a bit excited to wake up to all that white stuff on the ground!! I was hoping that there would be enough for Matt to get his snowmobile out but he was too busy shoveling out the entrance to the garage and our drive!! After that he took a much earned nap and I snuggled in with the dogs and my book!! I sure hope we get more snow this season than we did last year!!!!
So pretty, Staci! If we got that much snow, life would surely come to a complete standstill here. LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season! Here's to a bunch of good reading in 2013.
We have enough snow to cover the grass - maybe 2 inches. An hour west of us got 18 inches last week!! I hope Matt gets to have fun with his snowmobile :)
ReplyDeleteOOh, I love the snow shovel by the door photo. Very cool! Hope you stay in and enjoy your snowfal. Stay warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteLove the various views of snow. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
We got snow a few days before Christmas, too. It's been so cold, it still looks pretty. We're currently at 6 degrees, so I think I'll stay inside all day and read! Too cold to do anything else.
ReplyDeleteLoveeeeeeeeee these photos!! But I am still wondering what that white stuff is?!?!? *wink* -- you know I am only playing!! I actually MISS the snow!!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up your way, please!
ReplyDeleteI'm just a teeny bit envious of all that beautiful snow! I have to be satisfied that the temps went down in the 50's this week! ha! Snuggling up with the furry friends and a good book sounds like heaven. :)
ReplyDeleteThat band of snow missed us, but it found us last night with a light dusting. Great looking pictures.
ReplyDeleteI am so not a fan of the snow and yes... I know I live in Minnesota... I really cant explain that except Spring through Fall make it all worth while :)
ReplyDeleteSnowstorms still scare me. The photos are great though. We just had a dusting, hopefully Mother Nature has it out of her system~
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....we have snow in Pittsburgh too. My son lived in Michigan, but not in the thumb. He had lots of snow too. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
Stop by my blog if you like for a photo of snowy Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

So pretty! I love the blue filter on them.
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely! I love the light - I get the same blue effect in a lot of early-morning shots in my yard.

We almost never get that much snow here. I hope that you guys have a lot of fun with it!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty familiar scene around here, too ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow - so much snow! Even though all the classic literature talks about a white Christmas, in Sydney it is just a dream or a fantasy. Your pics remind me that the other side of the world experiences a very different kind of Christmas - hope you can find something warm to do inside!!
ReplyDeleteBear With Me....Brrr♫ Be safe in the New Year♥
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty pictures!:)
ReplyDeleteWe got about an inch, not enough to shovel yet and my husband is very happy about that!
ReplyDeleteWOW..pretty cool. We had a dusting for Christmas, 2" the other day and now it's snowing more.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Staci
They said it might snow here today but it got a little too warm for that to happen at our elevation. It was about 32 in the morning but warmed up to 45 quickly. You made me so chilly with all the buried car pic!
ReplyDeleteI figured you got socked in with snow. Here's to warm nights with the family, hot chocolate and a good book.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Christmas and here's to a happy and healthy new year :)
We got quite a bit of snow too, but now as much as what I see in your photos. Looks like a winter wonderland out there though and I'm staying in with a bad cold, pretending that the view from the windows is just a painting, ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the snow, too!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had some snow, but no where near that much. It's already melted. Have a happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWOW so pretty and impressive and so hard to imagine living where we do ... I'd like to experience a white Christmas just once :)
ReplyDeleteWe were at my parents when the storm hit so we stayed an extra day. We've gotten snow on and off since then. It piles up fast!
ReplyDeleteSnuggling with a book by the window is the perfect way to appreciate the snow :)
We also got dumped on for Christmas. It was good to have a white Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLast year the snow was constantly rained away. A real winter this year!
