Mailbox Monday
is a gathering place for readers to share the books that
came into their house last week and explore great book blogs.
Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
Our September host is: Kristen @ BookNAround
The Unconquered by Scott Wallace- I won this from Ryan@Wordsmithsonia and I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but after his awesome review I knew this was one that I needed to learn more about!!

We discuss the books that we've read
and what we're planning to read for the week.
Read and reviewed last week:
Not a darn book...reading slump continues.....
Bookish Thoughts I will be sharing this week:
Instant Temptation- Bookish Thoughts and yes, it's another Shalvis book.
Hopefully one more this week????
How I got suckered into buying a book that I thought was new but wasn't!
In my Book Box:
Buttercream Bump Off- cozy choice
Glory in Death
I generally don't read a lot of nonfiction books either, but I have read several here lately. I remember Ryan's review of that one - it sounds great!
ReplyDeleteCurious to learn more about the Unconquered...hmmm not sure for me
ReplyDeleteGlory in Death by JD Robb? I am ready to read book 8 in her series soon. Ryan's review was good and I hope you enjoy the book. Here's hoping you break out of your slump.
ReplyDeleteBoo! To the reading slump :( I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one... sounds good!!! And hehehehehe... don't know if you saw my FB today.... but you might want to check out my card I made today for a friend!!! (It's the last one on my bloggy post from today!) :)
ReplyDeleteArrgh sad to hear you haven't found your reading mojo but I'm looking forward to your bookish thoughts this week. I've got some good books coming up but mediocre books make reading kind of tiresome and doing a book review for a big disappointment completely sucks the joy out of reading. Blah!
ReplyDeleteThe Buttercream Bump Off is a great title! Have fun reading it.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I wonder if we wouldn't mind these slumps if we weren't book bloggers? If I wasn't, I'd just pick up a magazine, poke around until I found a book that caught my eye and not worry about it. But know that I'm so keenly aware of all of the wonderful books out there (and now that there are so many on my shelves!), it's bothering me so much more!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! Now I want to read The Unconquered. :)
ReplyDeleteThat book looks good! I hate when I get suckered. Makes me so mad at the publishers.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of nonfiction that interests me. Can't wait to see what you think
ReplyDeleteI'm fascinated with the secrets of the Amazon. While I don't read much non-fiction, this one has my attention!
ReplyDeleteYour books sound interesting! Have another great reading week...
ReplyDeleteHere is my Monday post!!
Every so often I get in a NF mood and read three or four. Sorry the reading slump continues. Hope you will come across just the right book to knock you out of it.
ReplyDeleteI like reading non-fiction, especially when I learn a lot from the book. Hopefully, you'll find a good book to pull you out of your reading slump. Sometimes, you just need the break.
ReplyDeleteNot one darn book!? hang in there
ReplyDeleteWhat about The Book Lover? Have you read that yet? Really good!!
ReplyDeletethat sounds very interesting, I think I would like it. It's a little bit different book than what you usually read though so I'll be watching for your thoughts on this one.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to feel a reading slump coming on too. Not a good thing and I really don't like when that happens. I've been listening to some audios and that helps. You need some really good reads or listens to pull you out of your slump.
ReplyDeleteI'll be curious to see what you think about the amazon book; I had mixed feelings about it, but it does have a lot of interesting info about the amazon. I hope you find a good book to capture your attention! I know everyone's got their own way to break a slump - mine is to read old favorites, or light-weight fantasy. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not my usual fare, but it does sound interesting. Looking forward to your thoughts!
