Mailbox Monday
is a gathering place for readers to share the books that
came into their house last week and explore great book blogs.
Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt- loved it! Unique and original
Dreaming of Mr. Darcy- modern P&P variation that was charming.
Reviews this week:
Carrie Goes off the Map
On the stacks?
Anything goes as this is Christmas break for me. I'll probably read some books that I checked out from the library and I do have a TLC tour book for the end of the month.
I have old books to read:Zen Seeing, Zen Drawing Meditation in Action by Frederick Franck, Bill Bryson's African Diary, and Dark Star Safari by Paul Thereaux. Frederick Franck when asked how he discovered this seeing/drawing, he wrote that it happened arounf 1960 while he was in Africa serving as an oral surgeon at Albert Schweitzer's hospital.

ReplyDeleteI wonder what you'll think of Wild Thing. I've always enjoyed Robin's writing. I wouldn't mind reading The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt. It's pretty pricey though so I may wait until it comes down.
ReplyDeleteWild Thing looks like a good one. The cover is quite distracting. :)
