Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney
I so have to order this book as soon as I get back to work. I can't keep any of the Wimpy Kid books on the shelf. When the students realize this one is coming out, they're going to drive me crazy!!!
Release Date: October 12, 2009
From Amazon.com:
It’s summer vacation, the weather’s great, and all the kids are having fun outside. So where’s Greg Heffley? Inside his house, playing video games with the shades drawn. Greg, a self-confessed “indoor person,” is living out his ultimate summer fantasy: no responsibilities and no rules. But Greg’s mom has a different vision for an ideal summer . . . one packed with outdoor activities and “family togetherness.” Whose vision will win out? Or will a new addition to the Heffley family change everything?
Such a cute cover. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMy son can't wait for this one to be released!! I hope that you order more than one copy as the kids will be fighting over this one! My son's teacher had one copy in her class library and had to draw straws in their class last year as so many kids wanted to read it!
ReplyDeleteBonnie- I always order 3!! and that's still not enough!! But I can do hold lists so it works out in the end. I bet your son will love this one too!!!
ReplyDeleteI know my B&N has a special rack of these but I have never looked - I'll have to check them out and see what's motivating all these kids to want them!

ReplyDeleteSadly, these books started coming out after my middle grade days. They look awesome though, and my youngest cousins love them.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are begging for this! I love it when I find a series that my son can really get into. He's very fussy about what books he likes.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that it's about the dog days of summer and not released until Oct. I'll bet the kids will love reading it no matter what time of year.
