And suddenly music would fill my mind. I would try to hold on to the image while I hurried to my room and took out my violin. And when I was able to stay inside that vision, the music would pour from my fingers.

It's Tuesday...Where Are You?
I married someone I didn't love just to get back at Ashley Wilkes. But he died before the war could really get started. Now all I have is a baby and I'm stuck wearing black, for a long time. When will this war be over?---Gone With the Wind
I'm also in beautiful New Zealand, which I call home, but there I have found some clues as to my birth father and now I'm on my way to Krakow, Poland. I've experienced the heartache of the loss of a loved one and find solace only in my music.- Sonata for Miriam
Where are you today?
This is the second tease for this book that I've read this morning. It sounds like it needs to be added to my WishList. =)
ReplyDeleteHere are my teasers and where I am this week.
Sonata for Miriam does sound intriguing, but sad. Good teasers. Hope you're enjoying Gone With the Wind. I read it when I was a teenager and fell madly in love with Rhett, of course. He's still one of my favorite literary characters.
ReplyDeleteThat's the second time today I've come across that title - it must be a sign! Lovely teaser.
ReplyDeleteMy teasers are here.
I just reviewed this book and thought the writing was so wonderful. I loved it. No matter what sentences you take out of this book, they will grab you.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is here under the Galway Bay tour post.
I have too much work and am between books, sadly.
ReplyDeleteAnother teaser for this book...now I'm really curious! Mine is up:

Good teaser. I'd like to read Sonata for Miriam one of these days.
ReplyDeleteLove the teaser!
ReplyDeletewow that's beautiful. I can only imagine what goes on in a musician's mind. it's fascinating to watch them play or compose or even listen to music. love it!
ReplyDeleteHey Staci, I found your comment on my posting today... about 'trying'.... come and visit tomorrow and see what I've been mulling over about that phrase, "I'll try."
ReplyDeleteI think you'll have fun with it. (smile)
This book sounds really good. Thanks for the teaser :)
ReplyDeleteSonata for Miriam sounds like my kind of book - the writing is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSonata for Miriam sounds very interesting, especially the setting in Poland. Krakow is a destination on my travel list. :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't put GWTW down but I'll stop and so everyone is on equal footing. The war is over and Scarlett just made another silly decision. Oh Scarlett!
This must be a good/popular book because I have seen other teasers for it recently. That was a good one so I think I'm adding this book to my TBR list for when I hit the book sale next month.
ReplyDeleteI love this teaser! I wish I had the musical talent to do that.
ReplyDeleteThis book has been popular (both last week and this week) for teasers - thanks for sharing. the book does sound very interesting - hope you are enjoying it!
