I've decided to re-invent my Six Sentence Saturday posts because I have way too fun participating in Alyce's Saturday Snapshot Meme every Saturday. I didn't want to let the Six Sentence idea go to waste though and I've now decided to make all of my reviews Six Sentence Bookish Thoughts!! I've never been one to analyze books and to feature in-depth philosophical reviews. I tend to just state why I enjoyed a book and tell you whether I would recommend it or not. I'm always looking for ways to make my reviews shorter because frankly, there are a lot of book bloggers out there to read, however, we as readers only have a limited amount of time to seriously spend each day reading blog posts. I want my readers to have fun when they visit! I want my readers to know that when they come to Life in the Thumb, I won't be taking up too much of their precious time. I like short and sweet and to-the-point. Plus, I'm bit of a lazy blogger at times and run out of witty things to write! Ha!
So, I hope you enjoy this new feature. Feedback is always welcome!
All the best and Happy Reading!
Staci
Love it! The shorter, the sweeter.Your 6 sentence reviews always were a hit for me. They told me everything I need to know whether I want to read the title or not. When I see long regurgitations of plot I move on. That must be why I keep coming back here because you don't do that! :-) not to mention the fact that you are just one of my all time favorite bloggers. {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteYay! I've always loved your six sentence reviews. And anyway, even if you have more to say, who is to say you can't have six LONG sentences?!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your six sentence reviews and suspect they're more difficult to write than you let on.
ReplyDelete"Keep it simple" is my motto.....sounds like a great plan!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I prefer reading concise reviews and will welcome your new format... am slowly heading in that direction myself ;-)
ReplyDeleteYaah! What better way to review so many books in the so little time that we have? Have fun!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhh I can't wait!!!! How fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your six sentence reviews. I find them wittier than my longer posts sometimes, but I'm not that concise!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Staci! I love short and sweet reviews.
ReplyDeletePerfect! The shorter, the better is the way I look at it. I can totally relate to why you're doing it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great idea! It is how I review most of my books, short and sweet!
ReplyDeleteI do love your six sentence reviews. Short and sweet!
ReplyDeleteLoving it :) I love your short reviews, I love shorties in general. I do not want to spend 5 minutes reading a review
ReplyDeleteWay to go Staci!! I love your six-sentence reviews and it looks like I'm not the only one. Now you're giving us what we love with every review. Good for you. I will say that it won't bother me if you go over a few sentences from time to time. This is going to be fun to watch/read.
ReplyDeleteI like your reviews whether they're six sentences or not!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked your reviews, short or long. I think it will be fun. May even borrow your idea. Have been tempted to borrow Nise's for a long time since I've fallen so far behind with reviews. Great minds think alike. Look forward to your six sentence reviews.
ReplyDeleteAh, I love this! I pretty much do the same thing...I like it short and sweet :)
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I don't really pay too much attention to length, just say what I have to say, LOL!
ReplyDeleteSounds good!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me, I'll have to join in a bit more often me thinks ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your six sentence reviews, partly because they are short and to the point, but also because you do such a great job of making your point.
ReplyDeleteI think this is great. You have an uncanny knack for being concise and I know from experience that is not always easy to do. I try to have a variety of length reviews, though compared to some other bloggers mine are short as well.
ReplyDeletePerfect! If I ever return to blogging, this may be the way to go. ;)
