This photo is of my oldest son Mitch and was taken during his stay in Washington D.C. when he was a bone marrow donor. He felt pretty good after the procedure so we headed to the mall and checked out some of the sights! This is on our walk over to the Lincoln Memorial.
P.S. - He hates to smile for pictures!! I have plenty where he looks very grumpy!

Aw that's a nice smile! My son doesn't smile often for pics either. I hope Mitch is doing well. What a wonderful gift he gave!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice picture, Staci! And look at his colorful bandages. I bet you guys had a really good time together.
ReplyDeleteYou must be such a proud and brave mom! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteNice picture.
ReplyDeleteI hope he continues to fell well after the donation, and that the patient at the receiving end is doing well too.
Great smile. He looks flushed with success. What a trooper he is. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteHe has a nice smile. That was a very special gift he gave. Nuff respect!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite a thing, to be a bone marrow donor. Glad he was up and about so soon :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for Mitch! He's a hero!
ReplyDeleteA special gift from a willing donor. A nice smile too.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've seen a picture before with him smiling! :--)
ReplyDeleteAhhh! Great pic! How awesome he was donating bone marrow.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've noticed that about my kids and grandkids...smiling for photos is not something they like to do. Unless, like my granddaughter in some of her photos, they're thinking about something special.
ReplyDeleteLike your son, who must be proud of the gift he has given.
Thanks for sharing, and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
Loveeeeeee it!! So happy he smiled for the camera!!
ReplyDeleteSave THAT snapshot! That's a great smile he's got goin' on!
ReplyDeleteYou son is a hero! HUGS!

ReplyDeleteWonderful smile from a really courageous and giving young man! Prayers for both the donor and the recipient. :)
ReplyDeleteOh those boys never want to smile :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing for him to have done! And a great picture.
ReplyDeleteHere's my snapshot.
You must be so proud of him Staci; handsome too and what a gift he gave.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome thing for him to do, and a great photo!
ReplyDeleteNice picture. A gift of bone marrow is a wonderful thing to do, he has a right to be smiling, and proud too!
ReplyDeleteI think he should smile more often.
ReplyDeleteYour son. What can I say except that is the most amazing, wonderful thing I have heard in a long long time. As others have rightly commented here, you must be so proud of him.
ReplyDelete-- Cheers.
Yay for Mitch! I just joined the Be the Match bone marrow registry and hope I'm chosen someday to donate. What a wonderful, generous thing he did -- and D.C. is awesome! Though I'm a little biased, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteMitch is awesome. You raised a good one, Staci!
ReplyDeleteHe looks great! god bless him for his kindness and generosity. He had a great example to follow :)
