What I've been doing:
I've been eating my emotions that's what I've been doing!! I've had a few things happen in the past couple of weeks where I've found myself very upset and then the next thing I know I'm eating something that is totally not healthy for me but yet tastes so damn good! I've recognized this behavior and I'm really working on trying to make sure that instead of eating chocolate or something greasy, I either go for a walk or do something that is a healthy choice, not a destructive one. I have been walking more too which is a good thing!
Weight Watchers and Me:
I'm going to post some pictures of the mac/cheese that I'm going to make this weekend. It's a Hungry Girl recipe and let me tell you...it rocks!! My son loves it and that's a good thing. I made my first spaghetti squash ever the other day and that was pure bliss!!! I'm working my points and really trying to incorporate some new foods into my daily menu. I'm trying not to get too excited, but I'm only 7 pounds from my goal weight!!!!
Starting weight: 171
3/19/10: 168
4/1/10: 166
4/16/10: 164
4/23/10: 162
5/14/10: 161
5/28/10: 159
6/11/10: 155
6/25/10: 153
9/10/10: 153
10/15/10: 147
That is awesome, Staci!! I love spaghetti squash, but have never cooked one... will need to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Staci! For the weightloss and for recognizing that you are eating during stressful times. This is actually harder to do that we think since we have to think beyond the stress to identify this behavior. I like sweets when I'm stressed out and can binge with the best (well... I am a control freak so it is within reason).
ReplyDeleteYou are oh so close to your goal!
It looks like you're doing great to me! Keep up the good work!!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Congrats!! My hubby joined a weight loss challenge at work, so I'm trying to cook healthier to help him out. :)
ReplyDeleteHOORAY for you!!! Glad you found spaghetti squash - I love it, too. Keep up the great work and you'll be at your goal before you know it.
ReplyDeleteStaci...you've had wonderful weight loss progress; congrats!
ReplyDeleteOh Staci, this is just so awesome!!! Way. To. Go.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I hope whatever is wrong is fixed for you soon!!! {{{hugs}}}.... congrats once again on your accomplishments! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteWow you are doing so good Staci. You look great. I keep thinking if I would have just stuck to it, I could be down to what you are too. I am gaining what you are losing. It's just so tough, but you are doing so good. Keep harassing me about not eating school food!
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for sharing your amazing journey! Only 7 pounds to go...
ReplyDeleteThat is something to celebrate.... I'll be 'whirling' around in my computer chair a few time with glee on you behalf!
Wow, Staci, you are doing great!! We love spaghetti squash at our house :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a great job. Walking is definitely much better than giving into the temptation that food provides. The benefits are also longer lasting. Keep up the momentum. I am sure your goal weight is only a few weeks away!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Keep up the great work
ReplyDeleteWow, you are doing awesome. I love spaghetti squash although I haven't made it in years. You've made me want to though.
ReplyDeleteI'm an emotional eater as well. If someone upsets me I eat. Although with Buddy sick I've quit eating. You never know with me.
You are doing so well. I am not :(
ReplyDeleteI eat well 80% of the time because of the food allergies but the 20% that's left is apparently enough to keep my chubby!
Keep posting about your progress. Perhaps your success will rub off on me.
YEA! Congrats girlie! You are doing so well. I am super proud of you.
ReplyDeleteWoot! Woot! Keep it up Staci!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Staci! I totally get the emotional eating thing. I do that everyday. Good thing I exercise three times a week. I love Weight Watchers, by the way. I wish my husband would do it with me. I only have 5 or 6 pounds to lose, but he has like 20.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so well. Amazing job.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, let me say: Congratulations, and what fabulous progress! You're motivating me here...LOL.
ReplyDeleteI ran into someone in Target the other day, and she was talking about Weight Watchers and how the support group helped her. I think that's an important piece of achieving our goals.
Knowing that I eat from "emotions" doesn't really help me unless I have that support system.
When I lost the most weight, I was going to the Curves gym and the food class and having regular weigh-ins.
I need to do that again...(and I have all kinds of excuses for NOT doing it,) but I have to do something.
Keep up the good work, Staci.
Oh, and I meant to say that I love your new seasonal header!
ReplyDeleteWAY TO GO!! You will reach your goal weight before the holidays :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so wonderful, Staci. You've made such progress in the past month! I'm inspired to get back on my bike and start walking again. It's been a crazy few weeks and I've let things slip. Time to get serious again...before the holidays! Thanks for the motivation.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing fantastic! I'd love to get a recipe for healthy mac and cheese--I love it so and it's so bad for you. I tried spaghetti squash once, though, and no one in my family would eat it!
ReplyDeleteYou are such an inspiration to me! YAY!
ReplyDeleteWoot Woot, awesome work Staci. I'm a comfort eater too & I find it challenging to break the pattern so well done girl!
ReplyDeleteYum can you post the recipe when you post pics of mac/cheese :)
Baby carrots - that's what I used. Something about snapping that carrot in half in a fit of frustration and hearing that powerful crunch released stress while keeping me healthy.
ReplyDeleteSo - how does it feel to be in the 40's after all of your hard work! Look at that monthly chart - nice and gradual drops to a better you!
"feeding my emotions"--if I had a nickel for every time I'd done that! Keep working. I'm so impressed.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!! You are doing great. I just got back from the dr. and found out I've lost 18 pounds since I went into the hospital to have Gage. Of course, I gained 45, so I still have some work to do ;) I plan on using WW to help me do it.
