Library Loot-October 27th

Hosted by Eva at A Stripped Armchair and Marg at Reading Adventures.
We share what we each picked up at the library during the week.

I'm really trying to keep myself in control with the number of books I've been checking out. I hate to take back books unread, so I'm not doing as much "browsing" as I normally do. Because when i browse, books somehow JUMP into my book bag!!

The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
** Looks like I can blame Indie Books for my wanting to read this one. I do know that I've read a lot of great reviews on this one. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll actually get it read!!

The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney
** I know someone out there is responsible for this one. I distinctly remember reading a great review of this and immediately put it on hold from my library. Who did it???

  1. Haven't seen that cover for The Lace Reader. The Tenderness of Wolves was one of my library book sale purchases last summer, but haven't gotten to it yet. I love your banner photo!

  2. I've never mentioned The Tenderness of Wolves, so I'm completely innocent. I've had The Lace Reader in my TBR pile longer than I'd like to admit.

  6. Hello Staci,
First I'd just like to tell you thanks for stopping by my blog!
Second I'd like to tell you that The Lace Reader is a book that I have read. It was interesting. The story was good, a little confusing at times, had it's twists and turns, a little romance, and an ending that I still haven't been able to get out of my head.
I seriously just have the ending pop up in random thoughts, I also have had several dreams where this played center stage.
It was a little creepy! I hope you enjoy it.
If you do like it you could try
"The Other Sister" by Poppy Adams. It was one that was really interesting as well!
    Thanks again for stopping by!

  10. Such restraint! The Lace Reader is on my wishlist but I'm holding off requesting it until I reduce my borrowings a bit. I'll be interested to find out what you think. And I've heard good things about The Tenderness of Wolves too. Enjoy!
