It was a really great kiss, and if he'd said now, I might have been in trouble, but after a couple beats, when my heart had stopped jumping around in my chest and I wasn't pressed up against Ranger, I decided later was a scary idea.

I'm in New Jersey chasing down people who have skipped out on their court dates. Sometimes I wonder why I take my friend Lula with me to get these guys? I almost always lose them, we get fired at, or worse case scenario my car burns up!!!! My grandma is still hopping around from funeral to funeral but now she and Lula are trying to cook up the best barbeque sauce in the world...this has been a complete disaster. On top of all of that, Joe and I are done....I mean it this time. And every time Ranger calls me "Babe" I tend to get weak in my resolve not to kiss him.

Great teaser...the continuing saga of Morelli vs. Ranger. Don't you love it?! I read this recently and enjoyed it, they are fun books to read in the summer.
