Last week I was driving into town when I noticed this rainbow over a field. I had to stop and get a photo because the sky all around me was dark except for this little pocket of light which gave me the gift of the rainbow. The picture was taken with my phone camera. The only editing that I did was to use a focal color brush to highlight the rainbow and leave the rest black and white.
Wow, I think that was some sort of message to you!
ReplyDeleteYou were lucky to spot that! It's a lovely image. I never manage to use the camera on my phone properly. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/ksE6O
ReplyDeleteYes, the rainbow is a gift and seems to come at just the time we need it. Thanks for sharing...and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
ReplyDeleteSooooooooooo beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI like it :) lovely pic
ReplyDeleteI was so focused on the rainbow that I didn't notice the black and white color contrast until you pointed it out. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love when rainbows appear out of nowhere. They are always so beautiful and I rarely have my camera with me when it happens! Good catch.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! Your phone camera captured it well. I love to see a rainbow!

So cool how the rainbow comes out of the black and white. Nice use of the tool!
ReplyDeleteLike Alyce--the rainbow had my attention and I didn't notice the black and white look around the edges. Lovely picture!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Snapshot.
What a lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteLove your photo!! Rainbows are always so pretty and you captured a beauty! I especially like how you used the contrast between the black and white background with the colored rainbow. :)
ReplyDeleteRainbows are so rare. I love when I discover one. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteNeat trick with the different colors! It makes me think of the Wizard of Oz, with gray Kansas replaced by colorful Oz, on the other side of the rainbow.
ReplyDeleteI like the effect you made. Lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteFocal color brush? Yipes! you are a genius. How do you do that?
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Staci. I always get such a good feeling on the rare occasions that I see a rainbow.
ReplyDeleteDid you find the pot of gold?
ReplyDeleteA lucky sign! Have a great autumn!
