Library Loot-August 26

Hosted by Eva at A Stripped Armchair and Marg at Reading Adventures.
We share what we each picked up at the library during the week.

My blame game isn't very exciting this week as I'm trying really hard to acquire some self-control. LOL!!! We'll see how long it lasts!!!!

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
** Blame goes entirely to Nymeth. She's such an introspective person and I really take a lot away from her reviews. I'd read about this book in ALA email or something but it was her review that prompted me to get this one.

A Kiss In Time by Alex Flinn
** Just myself to blame and the author. I've enjoyed every book that she's written. This one is her spin on the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. I loved Beastly(her take on Beauty and the Beast)...fantastic!! I can't wait to read this one!!!!

Books Read in 2009 to date: 127
Number of Books Checked out from the library:20

  3. I love how you changed the TBR title to Book Blogger Buddies Recommend. The first step is to admit that YOU have a problem, not the rest of us!! :) A Kiss In Time sounds great. I haven't read any of her book, gonna have to check 'em out.

  6. I am going to have to add the Flinn to my list as well I think!

  7. I've not heard of either of these books and will have to look more closely at them! Congrats on your accomplishment of reading over 100 books in 2009, I am so impressed!!
I like how you made a Book Blogger Buddies Recommendations list. I have still not figured out how to make a seperate category like this on goodreads! I know you told me how but it showed up as part of my bookshelves and not as a seperate category like you have it. I have to spend some time figuring that out as it would be nice to have a list there!

  8. Heather- I don't have a problem. It's all of you book bloggers!! You are the enablers!!! if you didn't read such great books then I would never feel compelled to have to read them!!!!!!!!

Bonnie- you should be able to go to your bookshelves and start a new shelf. I labeled mine book blogger recommendations.

  11. I think I'll add Flinn to my "Blogger Buddies Recommendations List"! I like the way you do your list, although I'm afraid if I look at it too long I'll be adding hundreds more to my list.

  13. If you're going to blame someone, Nymeth is a good one to blame. She's one of the better book bloggers out there, of which there are many, I'm learning, many of whom I see already in your blogroll (too many to name). Of course, it's better to blame yourself. ;)
