Saturday Snapshot- Stormy Skies

Saturday Snapshot
is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books
It's easy to participate- just post a picture that was taken by
you, a friend, or a family member, and add your link
on Alyce's site. (no pictures from the internet!)
This photo was taken with my phone during my drive back home today from the library. I loved the way the clouds looked even though at times it was ominous looking! I used the Sierra Filter in Instagram which did lighten up the clouds a bit.
Same photo but no filters.....

  1. Our sky has looked like that all week. I can't believe you were the only car on the road.

  2. We've had similar wild, stormy, windy weather in Sydney the past 2 days. Is that corn or sugar cane growing in the field?

  3. Interesting shot, that's a cornfield too I think?

  13. Really nice pictures, both of them.
You live in some nice country, there.
That lone tree to the right is so cute. It's like it's saying, "Hey, I y'am what I y'am!"

  15. Great shot! I can't believe you got that through your car window. The original is great but I love what you did with it! Isn't it fun to play with photos? I hope the storm wasn't too nasty. :)

  16. I do like the intensity of the colors in the first photo. I guess I need to try instagram. It's already on my iPhone, I just have to start an account.

  21. I am amazed at the high quality of photos you can get with a phone. And lots of depth with that filter. I hope you got some rain, we can sure use a little more this summer.

  22. Love the filtered photo, it does intensify colours, even the grass is greener!

  23. I'm still trying to get the hang of Instagram. Did you have to take the photo twice, once with filter and once without or is there a way to take the filters off and on? sigh...

Oh, and yes, the clouds are ominous but beautiful!
