Mailbox Monday
is a gathering place for readers to share the books that
came into their house last week and explore great book blogs.
Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
October Host:
Serena of Savvy Verse and Wit
Two purchases for my Kindle because I absolutely love Jo Nesbo's writing and he's easy on the eyes to boot!! I also blame Jill @ Rhapsody in Books for my obsession as she's written such compelling reviews that forced my hand to click on the "buy now" button!
Nemesis- purchased for $4.44 @ Amazon.com
The Redbreast- purchased for $2.99

Sheila @ One Person's Journey Through a World of Books

Oh, gaaaaah! Now I hope you're not disappointed! LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL, I've noticed a trend - both here and on Goodreads - of you crediting (blaming) specific bloggers (pushers) for your purchases. Works for me!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Jo Nesbo books. Looks like you found some deals!
I see you read several books of Mr. Darcy's. Wonder what his bite was like in Mr. Darcy's Bite. Sounds like a fun read. I haven't been able to get into Jo Nesbo's books. I tried one and it reads like a translation, which it is. Must try another one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cheering during the read-athon.
I wonder if it was the latest Nesbo book i saw last week and a woman at work showed what he looked like ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've got some interesting books to review this week. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on The Rose Garden (I know it can't stand up to being compared to The Winter Sea, but I still love getting lost in her books.) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI want to read Jo Nesbo as well, but have to start with the first book! Thanks for the heads up re Amazon.
ReplyDeleteThese sound good! Really interested in that first one! :):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog during the read-a-thon and commenting. It was a fun day! I'll be back for more visits.
ReplyDeleteSandy's another one who loves Nesbo - I've got to try one of his books!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I noticed the same trend as Mary. One of Jo Nesbo's books is still sitting on my shelf. If you think they are that good, I'll guess I better hop to it.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I purchased those 2 for my Kindle as well about a month ago after reading Jill's posts. She is bad for us...LOL
ReplyDeleteJo Nesbo is a new-to-me author, they look really good!
ReplyDeleteYou have some enticing looking books on your list this week. Hope you have a great reading week!
ReplyDeleteHere's MY MONDAY MEMES POST and
MY WEBSITE
Never read anything by Nesbo. You raised my curiosity. I'm also looking forward to your review of The Rose Garden, which I loved.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like everyone is reading Nesbo!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Jill strikes again! I hope that you enjoy your new Nesbo books. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteI get such joy out of seeing how many Darcy novels you read - really! If I have to admit this, gasp, I have read two Austin novels and I enjoy the movies more than the books. That said, I'm sure modern day books are fun and move at a pace we are accustomed to. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the P&P with Kiera Knightly.
Have a great week!
I've never read Nesbo, so I can't wait to hear what you think. I'm also anxiously awaiting your thoughts on Expectations of Happiness!
ReplyDeleteI like the covers for both of those books. Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI'm unfamiliar with Nesbo's books...looking forward to your reviews!
ReplyDeleteOoh look at all those reviews coming up. I did have a giggle at your comment for Utterly Charming.
ReplyDeleteDon't think I've read anything by Jo Nesbo but I'm sure you'll be able to convince me to start *grrr*
Have a great week Staci and happy reading :)
Finally read a book you recommended a long time ago. The Girl in the Green Raincoat. Using it for part of my Read, Review, Recognize Challenge and will be recognizing you!!! Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteDollycas
I've got a slew of Nesbo books, but haven't read one yet. :(
