Cherries in Winter: My Family's Recipes for Hope in Hard Times- great food memoir 4/5

  12. Oh, you have several books on your list that look fabulous...like Sounds Like Crazy, Forget Me Not, South of Broad...and as for the ones you have next, I loved Look Again and On Folly Beach is one I received recently.

    I loved Pull of the Moon. Anything by Elizabeth Berg is a winner.

  30. I started On Folly Beach a week or so ago, but had to put it aside for another read. It's my first encounter with Karen White and so far, so good.

    Too funny. I got an ARC of The Little Giant of Aberdeen County before it came out in hardcover. Now everyone's getting it, I'm assuming since it's coming out (or has already) in paperback. I still haven't read it!! Soon! :)

  33. I have Guest House waiting TBR. I read Little Giant last year and it was a really unique story, I liked it. Watermark sounds very good. Enjoy your great selection of books!

  35. Watermark looks great. I read the write up on Amazon and the first bit gave me the chills,(her tongue!) but looks really good. Added it to my list list. Look forward to hearing what you think about it.

  36. I have Little Giant of Aberdeen County too. I still haven't read it yet! You have read a lot of books in the last two weeks. If My kids would go to bed before 9:30/10, I might get a lot of reading in too!
