  1. A book that I read recently that I could not stop thinking about was Anderson Cooper's - Dispatches from the Edge. It was a memior and I just could not believe how it made me feel. Please include me in your giveaway.

  2. To this day it is and will always be, "little house on the prairie" ... as a child reading it I wanted to be Laura sooooooooooo bad...and even re-reading the series as an adult...I have the same feelings! :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

  3. I'm going to say Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly. Please enter me! milou2ster(at)

  4. I read Gone With the Wind as a teen. It transported me to the old South...balls, pretty gowns, etc. It has stayed with me.

  7. The Seamstress absolutely captivated me. When I stopped reading, I almost had to blink my eyes and think that I am not really in Brazil in 1930!

  8. One of my earliest books, reading it as a child, would have to be Anne of Green Gables. Even as an adult I'm transported back to that simpler time and place where Anne realizes kindred spirits are to be found in the most unlikely places.

A more recent book is The Enchanted April, where 4 English women find healing and the joy of love during a holiday in beautiful Italy. I can smell the air fragrant with flowers and the sea; I can taste the pasta smothered in homemade sauce; I can feel the warmth of the sunshine on my face..... all my just thinking about the book.

Hey thanks Staci for the opportunity to join the giveaway! Crossing my fingers, eh!

  9. Quietly My Captain Waits by Evelyn Eaton--you can read my book review about this book.

Another book was called Green Darkness by Anya Seton. It was about reincarnation and it was the first time I had ever heard of the concept.

Thanks for stopping by, I've been so busy the last couple of weeks I haven't visited much. sounds like a good book (I read your review)

  10. Of course you know I want to enter for this one. Let's see, Gone With the Wind definitely transported me to another time and place and more recently Galway Bay-that was an awesome story that had me travelling. Great giveaway Staci.

  11. The Known World by Edward P Jones is the book that transported me back and has left an impression. I loved that book, and would love a copy of this book you are giving away.

  12. A book that stayed with me is Lonesome Dove. Those characters were amazing! More recently The 13th Tale - I loved that story! Great giveaway!!

  13. Anne of Green Gables was the earliest one with the biggest impact of place. L.M. Montgomery had a way with description and I wanted to live on Prince Edward Island so bad because I was convinced the was the most beautiful place on earth.
