Manic Monday

Manic Monday #152

brought to us by Fleur de Lisa---play along today!

What gives you hope?

My two boys give me hope. There's a lot of creative, energetic, good-hearted, smart, kids out there today. I believe in them and that they can make this world a much better place!!

How often do you get your haircut?

Because it's short, about every 6 weeks or so...I'm pretty lazy when it comes to keeping up with my hair!!

Describe your worst haircut.

I did it to myself when I was 12. I cut my bangs when my hair was wet...yep, you guessed it!! When my hair dried...NO BANGS!! I wore my dad's golf hat for what some liked weeks!! I looked like Gilligan's twin sister!

What's your most treasured piece of jewelry?

My amethyst cross that my hubby and boys bought me for my birthday about 5 years ago.

Why?

Because I hardly ever get gifts for my birthday, I was home sick for days, and it was a total surprise...I bawled like a baby!!

Happy Monday everyone!!

  1. Children do have a way of offering us hope, don't they?

I'm bad about keeping up with my hair too. I usually go in once every two or three months. I should do it more often, I know.

My most treasured piece of jewelry is my cross too. :-)

I hope you have a wonderful week.

  3. Owh how I knew kids do give us hope. Waking up each day with their smiles would really brighten up our days.. Happy Monday too!

  4. AWH! Good gifts are never forgotten! I also remember cutting my bangs way too short. Actually, I think they were crooked too! But it wasn't "cool" to wear hats then... otherwise I would have!

  6. Once in HS, an awful styist cut my bangs way too short. It was so ugly. I let them grow out and I haven't had bangs since.

  7. Oh yeah, bad bangs - been there! Surprise gifts are always the best. Especially if jewelry is involved. :-)

  11. I cut mine every 6 weeks as well, in a hair salon called Every 6 Weeks! Really! I've maintained a buzz cut because I'm lazy to do my hair every morning.

  13. OMG! You reminded me when I was younger I did that to my bangs. I looked like the girl from Reality Bites. Hehehehe.

I still try to trim my bangs myself or have my sister do it. It saves me $$ because I have long hair.

How cute though - Gilligan's sister.

Hope you had a nice Monday Staci!!
