This photo was taken last Sunday, a day before my oldest son had to head back to Okinawa.  It was a bittersweet day and it went by way too fast. But I'm thankful for the time that I was able to spend with Mitch and with my family.

  1. Staci, you have such a lovely family. So glad you got to spend some time with them. I'm assuming the donation went well? I know you hated to part, but you guys all look like you enjoyed being together.

  6. That must be so difficult to watch him go off overseas. My nephew Michael is in Afghanistan but will be open next month hopefully. Thanks to you and your son for your sacrifices. Here's Mine

  7. Glad you had a good visit! I always wish the time with my kids could be longer too! They have such interesting lives, but alas, those lives lead them far afield from our little grey cottage! So special when they come home to roost for a while, huh?

  27. What a lovely family indeed! Haven't been by in a while, but I was remembering a book you recommended (but couldn't recall the title when I went to the store)... and so here I am!

I clicked on the Calvin & Hobbs cartoon (your 2012 resolutions) in your sidebar...I like your list!
