Library Loot

Hosted by Eva at A Striped Armchair and Marg at Reading Adventures.
We share what we each picked up at the library during the week.

I'm almost embarrassed to write this post because I have only one book to talk about.....yep, you read that right......ONE! But I think it will turn out to be a great one.

Rainwater - Sandra Brown
** Diane of Bibliophile by the Sea writes some of the best reviews of books that I read on a daily basis and she totally sold me on this one. I haven't read a Brown book in ages because honestly, I felt she was tired and overdone. Another friend whose opinions I highly respect is JoAnn/QuAppelle. She is one tough cookie to win over and she gave this one 4 out of 5 stars!

Books Read in 2010 to date: 34
Number of Books Checked out from the library:15

  1. I do trust the tough ones, all my books tend to be 3s ;)

  2. I used to read Sandra Brown all the time too. I don't remember why I stopped. I recently picked up one at a book sale (Executive Power, I think). I'm curious about the one you checked out.

  4. I like your reading status updates. However, they point out to me how behind I am already this year!

  5. I am so proud of you, LOL. I actually walked into the library Monday to return an overdue book, paid my fine and walked out without even touching any of the books!

  8. Did anyone faint when you walked out of the library with only one book? It does look like a good one.

  9. I used to read Sandra Brown all the time, but some of her books in the past few years have been disppointing. Hope this one is a return to her earlier successes.

  10. Diane is a great reviewer! Even though I have never been interested in this author, Rainwater does sound terrific.

  11. I'm confused. Shouldn't this be called Library Loot not Teaser Tuesday?

I've got this on my eReader. I'll get to it sooner or later. I've been hearing good things about it too.

  12. One! Wow. I beat you. I got none this week. I have tons to read right now and I'm on some long waiting lists. I'm sure I'll get some more next week after I've made a dent in my stack at home.
