Six Sentence Saturday

Welcome to Six Sentence Saturday.
Where I try to express my thoughts on recent reads using only 6 sentences!!!!.
At the end of each review I will post a
rating scale of 1-5 using the cute and original (lol) Playing Cards.
Rating scale will be as follows:

5 of Hearts- You must read this book NOW!!
4 of Hearts- A great read, put it on your TBR list.
3 of Hearts- Glad I read but no big deal

2 of Hearts- Why did I finish this?
Joker Card - Don't bother (why did I?)

Ink Exchange (Wicked Lovely #2)
by Melissa Marr
I think I might have liked this one better than Wicked Lovely, only because it was a little darker. I was really intrigued by the tattoo ink being given special powers so that Irial could have some sort of control over Leslie. I did find it foolish that Aislinn never told Leslie what she was, at least if she had had this information she could've kept herself a little bit safer. You don't see much of Aislinn and Seth but that didn't detract from the story, at least it didn't to me. I didn't like the way it ended with Niall though...sorry! I'm looking forward to finishing this series with Fragile Eternity.

The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks
by E. Lockhart
If you're looking for a character that has spunk, intelligence, wicked-criminal mastermind thoughts, cunning, and is gutsy, then look no further than this book!! This is a smart book. I loved how Frankie tried to figure out a way to be included in an all-boys club. Those boys never knew what hit them. She out-manipulated and out-played them all, but at what cost to herself? This one rates up there as a best YA read for me this year!

The Dust of 100 Dogs
by A.S. King
Synopsis from Goodreads (I felt I had to give some background on this one)
In the late seventeenth century, famed teenage pirate Emer Morrisey was on the cusp of escaping the pirate life with her one true love and unfathomable riches when she was slain and cursed with the dust of one hundred dogs, dooming her to one hundred lives as a dog before returning to a human body -- with her memories intact. Now she's a contemporary American teenager and all she needs is a shovel and a ride to Jamaica.

I was really excited to read this one because the story plot sounded really enticing.. And believe me it was up to a point. At sometime my brain turned off with the excessive, crude sexual innuendos. Didn't really see how it contributed to the book, whatsoever!!! There are chapters that are devoted to a character that you don't really have any idea who he is, except he is a loser, and that he hates women. I liked the cover better than the actual story.
