  7. The Seamstress absolutely captivated me. When I stopped reading, I almost had to blink my eyes and think that I am not really in Brazil in 1930!

  8. One of my earliest books, reading it as a child, would have to be Anne of Green Gables. Even as an adult I'm transported back to that simpler time and place where Anne realizes kindred spirits are to be found in the most unlikely places.

A more recent book is The Enchanted April, where 4 English women find healing and the joy of love during a holiday in beautiful Italy. I can smell the air fragrant with flowers and the sea; I can taste the pasta smothered in homemade sauce; I can feel the warmth of the sunshine on my face..... all my just thinking about the book.

Hey thanks Staci for the opportunity to join the giveaway! Crossing my fingers, eh!

  9. Quietly My Captain Waits by Evelyn Eaton--you can read my book review about this book.

Another book was called Green Darkness by Anya Seton. It was about reincarnation and it was the first time I had ever heard of the concept.

Thanks for stopping by, I've been so busy the last couple of weeks I haven't visited much. sounds like a good book (I read your review)

  13. Anne of Green Gables was the earliest one with the biggest impact of place. L.M. Montgomery had a way with description and I wanted to live on Prince Edward Island so bad because I was convinced the was the most beautiful place on earth.
